Around a dozen new PS1 classics are available at that tier, which doesn't begin to do justice to the console’s library, and even fewer PSP games were added.Īccording to PlayStation Lifestyle, there are more than 200 games that were available through PS Now which are no longer featured even with the highest tier of the new PS Plus. The upscaled PS2 games available under the Premium tier PS Plus are essentially the same titles that were already available as part of PS Now. Compared against PS Now, the service has lost more than it's gained, with players forced to trade a small batch of current-gen games and a paltry number of emulated classics for the loss of numerous prior gen titles and a higher price point. Very few of these classics were actually added to the service, making emulation sound better than new PS Plus for fans of old-school PlayStation titles. Many gamers assumed that with classics from PS1, PS2, and PSP coming to the highest tier of PS Plus, the total number of games available would increase from PS Now. Related: I'm Sick Of Everyone Talking About God Of War Raganarök's Release Date This handful of eye-catching additions, however, come at a cost. First party games like Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales as well as console exclusives like Death Stranding are now part of PS Plus at its higher tiers. PS Now lacked current gen PS5 titles, so arguably Sony’s changes do put the service more in line with the competition. Game Pass contains many prior-generation, backwards-compatible games originally released on the first Xbox or Xbox 360, but Game Pass’ day one releases draw the most attention. PlayStation Now did not offer any PS5 titles, so these games do add some value to the service. Many of the high-profile PlayStation exclusive games are on PlayStation Plus now, including PS5 titles like Returnal, Ghost of Tsushima, and the remake of Demon’s Souls.

Halogen headlights are named after a group of gas elements (the halogens) which are used inside them. Besides offering the same optical performance as Xenon headlights, LEDs have a lower power consumption and last for the car’s entire lifetime. Inside a halogen bulb are a tungsten filament and halogen gas. The term 'halogen' represents a group of chemical elements on the periodic table, particularly group 7. More support requests involved Adobe Premiere Pro CC created xmeml - the technical name for Final Cut Pro 3-7 XML. Even mature apps still get support requests, and we noticed a trend. The name change for the Mac App Store was primarily to bring it in line with the new 7toX for Final Cut Pro, although in our own store, the name remained Project Xto7 (and still does) because changing the name would require a replacement download for all customers as the framework we use won’t update an app with a different name.įast forward a couple of years, and Xto7 is a mature app. Since we were adding Mac App Store distribution of both apps with the release of 7toX for Final Cut Pro we relaunched Project Xto7 as Xto7 for Final Cut Pro in the Mac App Store, with new icons for both. Late in the development of Project Xto7 we started work - in close conjunction with Apple - on the development of 7toX for Final Cut Pro, culminating with the release of 7toX for Final Cut Pro concurrent with Apple’s release of Final Cut Pro X 10.0.3 in late January 2012. ![]() Project Xto7 has gone on to be very successful. In our team my husband Greg Clarke is the coder, and he had been working on translating Final Cut Pro X XML to Final Cut Pro 7 XML as a personal project, because Final Cut Pro X imported XML before it exported XML (during that development cycle). It was a perfectly adequate name and workable icon.Ī little behind the scenes aside. Our code name became the app name when we launched in September 2011, with some minor typographical tricks to make the “to” into a subscript 2. I’m sure you can think of examples of the other type of code name. Another example of this type of code name is Adobe Hue, which was previewed at NAB under its code name Project Candy. Apps generally have code names during development because the name hasn’t been decided on yet or because development is secret and a code name reveals little about the app. Our internal code name for the app was Project Xto7. We started work on a translation tool for Final Cut Pro X XML to allow translation back to Final Cut Pro 7 XML in the late Summer of 2011. Ideally it would be unique enough that it is easily found via search engines. Ideally it should be easy to remember and relevant to what it does. Naming an app (software application) is never easy. I’d like to explain why we did that as some people have expressed some disappointment in the change. We recently renamed Xto7 for Final Cut Pro to XtoCC (Creative Cloud). We will let Philip explain all, it is an interesting story: So when it was announced that Assisted Editing had renamed Xto7 to XtoCC, we caught up with Philip Hodgetts and asked him why. The red coat is due to the allele “e” a mutation of the wildtype allele that is considered recessive.Ī recessive allele is a variety of genetic code that does not create a phenotype if a dominant allele is present. There is in fact a color called seal brown which stems as a variation under the base color bay. The method of creating the “popcorn” texture also makes it a relatively straightforward job to remove if it hasn’t been painted. Popcorn ceilings are a very common texturing element that the modern DIYer wants to remove. Level 5, the best quality finish that is achievable using drywall, requires a final skim coat of joint compound on the entire surface in addition to multiple steps of patching, sanding and taping, which is generally out of the budget for most home renovations.Ī Level 3 is the common preparation for textured or popcorn ceilings, while Level 4 is the widest adopted finish for American homes, resulting in clean lines with minimal variance in flatness on the seams. Taking a wall or ceiling to the smoothest level possible is normally accomplished by skilled contractors. If you’re opting for a new drywall ceiling, you’ll need to decide what level of finish you’re aiming for. Although many of these tiles resemble the pressed tin ceilings of old, today they’re made from lightweight plastic, and are simply glued in place. One interesting alternative to installing a new sheetrock ceiling is to cover the old ceiling with decorative tiles. For the moderate DIYer, this can be the least expensive, non-disruptive option. If an original plaster ceiling is desirable to keep from a restoration or historical point of view, there are steps to take to repair the unsightly sagging and cracking that occurs with age. This also enables the installation of new can lights and ceiling fans, exactly where you want them. With the ceiling removed, you’ll have access to open joist bays that enable you to completely redo the electrical runs to the switches on the wall. You might be removing an old plaster ceiling that has perpetual problems with sagging and cracking. If you do go ahead with the demolition, you’ll enjoy some significant benefits. Taking down an old ceiling is a messy, difficult job that shouldn’t be considered lightly.
